Fasting is always preferred, but only required for Lipid and Insulin labs.
Fast for 10–12 hours after your last meal.
No coffee or tea during the fasting window — water is
encouraged.
Skip the following supplements/medications for 5 days
prior to labs:
B vitamins
Hormones (including creams, pills, or patches)
Over-the-counter iron
Thyroid medication should be skipped the morning oflab work.
Aim for 19–20 hours after your last dose for mostaccurate results.
Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure
accurate results and avoid the need for repeat lab testing
